Introduction
In today's world, there is debate as to whether reading books or watching TV is better for developing imagination and language skills. I believe that reading books is more likely to enhance these abilities. In this article, I will explain why I hold this view.

Body paragraph 1:
First, reading books encourages active engagement with the content. When you read a book, you have to create mental images of the characters and settings described in the text. This imaginative process allows your mind to wander and explore, encouraging creativity. In contrast, TV delivers ready-made visuals, leaving little room for your imagination to flourish. Therefore, books are more likely to stimulate the imagination.

Body paragraph 2:
Second, books provide a comprehensive experience of the language. The written word often has a richer vocabulary and more complex sentence structures than the spoken language on TV. When you read books, you are exposed to a variety of writing styles, which can help improve your language skills. On the other hand, TV simplifies language for a wider audience, potentially limiting linguistic development.

Also, books can be enjoyed at one's own pace. Readers have the flexibility to pause, re-read, and reflect on what they have read. This process helps in understanding and retaining language and ideas. In contrast, TV is constantly streaming, making it more challenging to fully understand and analyze the content.

Conclusion:
Finally, while watching TV has its advantages, such as providing visual information and entertainment, I strongly believe that reading books is better when it comes to nurturing imagination and language skills. The act of reading encourages active participation, exposes individuals to rich language, and allows for more thoughtful engagement with content. So, I totally agree that people who read books are in a better position to develop these important skills.
